This original seascape oil painting is painted on canvas board. The piece is signed but it is hard to make out. It could be Barrett, Basnett, Haskett, or something else.

It also has some initials before the last name- ZA or maybe CA. The painting has some wear on all four corners and some along the bottom edge. This could be easily restored.

The back of the canvas board shows a water stain but does not go through to the painting. It comes in the original ornate gesso frame. The frame also has an inside gold liner that matches the color of the frame.

This liner is cracked along the top and the right side but does not hurt anything. The frame is in excellent condition for its age and has no gesso missing from the corners but there are cracks in all four corners... There is some minor paint loss and some discoloration to the frame. Please see all photo's since that is part of the description. The overall size including the frame is 19 3/4" x 23 3/4".
