Framed Antique Reverse Glass Photo Female Nude, repro. Angelo Asti c. 1902
A reverse glass reproduction photo done by Braun Clements & Co. Both the painting and this photo reproduction were done in 1902. Removing the back panel reveals the back-painting that gives the front photo a slight colorized look. Asti's signature and 1902 date appear in the bottom left corner, and the photo maker Braun, Clements & Co (in French) appears in tiny print on the center bottom. The bowed glass the photo is applied to is etched with the maker Braun, Clements et Cie. It is in perfect condition. Angelo Asti migrated to the US and worked here until his artistic abilities came to light.
