Originally belonging to the British artist Damien Hirst. Damien Steven Hirst is an English artist, entrepreneur, and art collector. He is one of the Young British Artists, who dominated the art scene in the UK during the 1990s. Damien has worn this t-shirt while creating his original oil paintings on canvas. The paint present on the t-shirt (oil paint) has been applied by Damien's own hands.

He has then signed this T-shirt in marker pen on the front as shown in the photos. It has then been framed in a metal frame by Damiens studio as a new work of art. Therefore, capturing the artist at work in an object that effectively transcends the simple t-shirt to my mind. It could also be suggested that it connects / references the concept of ready made art for example, such as the concept, artist Marcel Duchamp was famous for. The framed Dimensions of this item are: 950 x 915 mm (37 x 36 inches).

I'd imagine this item could be reframed without too much difficulty, the value is obviously in the item as opposed to the frame and the photos show clearly the exact item you will receive. I acquired this directly from the artist through an instagram contest where Damien asked. Write your best comment about hope. Incredibly Damien chose my answer to receive this item which is essentially a museum quality piece of Art and a priceless piece of Art History I believe. To further explore my previous question / point, Damien has recently opened a solo exhibition of his work at his Newport Street Gallery in London that runs between 7.10.20 to 7.3.21 - titled: End of a Century (None of the art is available for sale at this exhibition). End of a Century features installations, sculpture and paintings, some of which have never been seen before. One of the artworks in the exhibition is titled. I'm a huge fan of Damien Hirst, I was born near Leeds where Damien is from and when I lived in Leeds I would visit his work many times in the Leeds art gallery and read the books in the library on him while always being inspired by seeing his work. It is definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity for me to have acquired such an original piece of art directly from Damien himself.

This item represents hope for me, which is obviously the question I originally answered to acquire this. Through these difficult times, I would like to offer this to a collector who would love to own such a unique original work and priceless piece of art history from Damien Hirst. I hope for the sale to allow me to pursue more creative directions myself and to continue the artistic journey Damien has also inspired me to pursue.
