This exceptionally fine oil on canvas laid to heavy Masonite panel is signed and dated on the back John Wells 1960 and measures 35 3/8 x 25 3/8 framed; 30 x 24 actual. The composition features fanciful and solidly painted voluptuous biomorphic forms in tone of gray, blue and cream and is in very good (dirty) condition with stable paint and no losses. Its period frame of distressed wood complements the artwork nicely and shows dust and wear.
