This is a superb Original Oil On Canvas Painting, a Still Life Of Flowers In a Vase, By the renowned Hungarian artist, Péter Kloton (1927 - 1985), who has signed it to the bottom right. Péter Kloton was born in Hungary in 1927 and after attending art school after the war, he became a full time artist.

He was influenced by the impressionists and he specialised in still life, especially flora / flower paintings. He died in Budapest in 1985. This large still life by him is typical of his work and really commands a wall. Its a great statement piece that would look fabulous on any wall.

It was retailed by Belfasts foremost art dealers around the 1950s / 1960s period. From there it was bought for a large private family residence where it remained until now. It is beautifully framed in a gilt / gold coloured wooden frame and is ready to hang and enjoy. It measures an impressive 95.5 cm x 70 cm (37.5 x 29.5) including the frame. Displays wonderfully, an absolute stunner.
